Well, we were convinced when we released HiStakesMatrix that it wouldn't take too long for someone to beat the challenge. However, over a 1000 games have been started and still no one has beaten it. We have just completed our new 2D space shooter - Invading Phase I. In the style of the old classics like Space Invaders and Galaxians, this pick up and play game has some subtle elements of strategy as you decide whether to shoot the bottom row of the convoy, pick off the edges or simply blast a hole straight through the middle. There are also bonuses to contend with that are sometimes released from the highest value ships. All the bonuses are good, but some are better than others. Some bonuses are one off (e.g. extra points), some are additive (e.g. speed up ship doesn't deactivate anything else) while some are exclusive of each other (e.g. collecting double bullets deactivates homing bullets). You have to decide which bonuses you want and which to leave. Of course, that's assuming you can last long enough to be given the choice!

Well hello, oh gracious visitor, and welcome to my humble arcade. Please forgive the dust and the sweat of the slaves as we build our web architecture and move the graphical pillars and database columns into place. For sure, many people would keep a site like this under wraps for many months until it was cleaned and polished, but I thought, as this is a place for you to have fun, we'd open it from the start, for I'm sure you can have fun even while having to step around broken tables and workmens files.
